Sure. But nothing is ever a complete failure. Rate reusability and maintenance-friendlyness as the highest achievable characteristic in innovative projects.

Chris has a good point here. But re-usability needs an IPR framework. I suggest looking at what www.etsi.org have done. Has worked very well.
